Who is the Santa Clara Dance Team?

The Santa Clara Dance Team is a group of artistic athletes who are dedicated to supporting the SCU athletics program and promoting school spirit!

When does the Santa Clara Dance Team perform?

The SCU Dance Team can be seen performing at various functions both on and off campus throughout the year, including pep rallies, athletic events, and the Golden Circle benefit. The winter term is the most active season for the SCU Dance Team when they can be seen at all home men's and women's basketball games as well as the West Coast Conference Tournament. On game day's the Dance Team performs during half-time, in-game time-outs, and select pre-game events working in collaboration with the Santa Clara Bronco Pep Band.

What is the Santa Clara Dance Team practice schedule?

During the fall and winter quarters, the Dance Team practices three times per week, twice on weekday nights and once on a weekend afternoon or evening - practice schedule is to be determined at the beginning of the school year. In the winter quarter, members may perform up to two times a week at men's and women's basketball games. Appearances are also to be expected at some away games. In the spring, practices are scheduled as needed depending on performance opportunities.

How can students get involved with the Santa Clara Dance Team?

The dance team will be holding auditions in early May! You can visit the "Audition Information" tab on our website or visit the Dance Team recruiting table during Preview Weekend in April to gather information and to express interest in joining the team.
