SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara athletics announced the hiring of Cody Johnson as assistant athletic director for development. Johnson spent the last three years at Santa Clara as a director of women's basketball operations.
Johnson received his undergraduate degree in Sports Business Administration from Oregon in 2011 and his masters in Conflict and Dispute Resolution in 2013.
"We are very excited to have Cody as a member of the Bronco development staff," senior associate athletic director Peter Fields said. "As part of our team Cody brings a can-do attitude along a desire to improve himself and Santa Clara Athletics every day."
Prior to coming to Santa Clara Johnson spent one season as the Director of Operations for Oregon women's basketball. He had been an administrative assistant since 2007 for the team.
Johnson also spent time with the NetScouts USA Collegiate All-Star Team in April of 2016 as an assistant coach and operations manager. In that role coordinated team travel and operations for the team during an international tour in China.
He attended high school at New Plymouth where he played basketball, football, and ran track.
