Santa Clara Athletics Signs Multimedia Rights Partnership with Van Wagner Sports and Entertainment

NEW YORKVan Wagner Sports and Entertainment (VWSE) and Santa Clara University Athletics Monday announced a long-term agreement naming VWSE as the department's exclusive multimedia rights partner and sales agent for the corporate sponsorship program.  

The VWSE Collegiate Services division will oversee the locally based operation, "Santa Clara Athletics Sponsorships," which is committed to enhancing the in-venue experience for sponsors, business partners and a growing and dedicated fan base.

The opportunity to work with Dr. Renee Baumgartner, one of the most dynamic athletic directors in the country, senior associate AD Jeff Mitchell and the entire university community is an honor," said VWSE executive vice president Mike Palisi. "We are excited to help amplify a legacy of success that extends across the school, and build and manage a multimedia sponsorship program that exemplifies the level of achievement Santa Clara envisions – delivering even greater value to its partners."

The VWSE team, in collaboration with Santa Clara Athletics, will handle management, sales and integration of corporate sponsorship on all levels within multimedia resources, including broadcast assets, digital, venue signage, marketing, promotional rights to athletic marks and hospitality for the school's 20 sports programs, 15 of which compete in the West Coast Conference. The Broncos have claimed two national championships, 60 conference titles and made more than 90 NCAA tournament appearances.

VWSE, continuing its rapid growth as a leader in college sports marketing, also has agreements with the West Coast Conference and three other member institutions including Loyola Marymount University, Pepperdine University and the University of San Francisco to integrate institutional and conference assets for a comprehensive marketing program for corporate partners.

Since its inception in 2014, VWSE Collegiate Services has grown to represent the sponsorship or multimedia rights for multiple schools and athletic conferences, including the America East Conference, Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association, Colonial Athletic Association and the West Coast Conference, as well as Florida International University, Georgia State University, Niagara University, Siena College, Saint Joseph's University and Stony Brook University among others.
