SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Aubree Kim of softball and Sebastien Mathieu of men's tennis have been named the Broncos of the Month for April.
Kim stepped up in April, starting 10 of Santa Clara's 14 games and tossing nine complete games, including the fourth no-hitter in program history on April 28 at Pacific. Kim retired the first 16 batters before allowing a walk, the only baserunner of the game for the Tigers.
Mathieu had the clincher against both BYU (April 7) and No. 39 San Diego (April 8) on Senior Day. Against the Cougars, he came back from a set down and forced a tiebreaker in the second set before claiming the third 6-4. He then helped Santa Clara shutout the Toreros a day later.
