Hedge, Davidson Take Home November Bronco of the Month Honors

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Kelcie Hedge of women's soccer and Jack Davidson of men's cross country brought home SAAC Bronco of the Month honors for November.

Hedge had a big month on the awards front being named a semifinalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy, a First Team All-American, First Team All-West Region, the West Coast Conference Player of the Year, and First Team All-WCC.

She helped lead the Broncos to 17 wins, their most since 2005. Their 16 regular season and nine nonconference wins were the most since the national title of 2001. Hedge scored seven goals to tie for second on the team and added two assists. During WCC play, she led the team with six goals, scoring all in the span of five matches.

It was the first All-America nod for a Bronco since Sofia Huerta was named to the third team in 2014 and the first first team selection since Julie Ertz (Johnston) did it three years in a row from 2011-13.

Davidson led Santa Clara at the NCAA West Regional Championship meet in the 10-kilometer race with a time of 30:54.2. He took home 66th place in a field of 200-plus runners.
