SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara Athletics had an outstanding quarter in the classroom during the spring despite dealing with unexpected challenges due to COVID-19.

The 360 Broncos posted a term GPA across all sports of 3.59, led by a 3.87 from women's tennis. The overall term GPA was the highest in at least the last seven years.

Golf led the way on the men's side at 3.58, just ahead of soccer (3.57), water polo (3.559), tennis (3.557) and baseball (3.547). Rounding out the top five for the women were golf at 3.86, softball (3.84), volleyball (3.81) and women's rowing (3.76).

The quarter highlights included: 

• 317 student-athletes with a 3.0 or higher GPA for the term 
• 245 student-athletes with a 3.5 or higher GPA for the term  
• 157 student-athletes with a 3.8 or higher GPA for the term  
• 78 student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA for the term

At the conclusion of the winter quarter, 125 student-athletes had a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
