SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara student-athletes had a strong academic showing during the 2021 spring quarter.
The 365 Broncos posted a term GPA across all sports of 3.413, led by a 3.81 GPA from women's golf.
On the men's side, soccer's mark of 3.57 led the way. Tennis (3.31), baseball (3.24), golf (3.22), and cross country/track and field (3.14) were the next best. Rounding out the top five for the women were cross country/track (3.74), water polo (3.68), tennis (3.67) and beach volleyball (3.66).
Each of the 20 sports had a term GPA of 3.0 or higher.
The cumulative GPA at the end of the spring for all sports was 3.37 and each sport is above 3.0.
The quarter highlights included:
- 289 student-athletes with a 3.0 or higher GPA for the term
- 192 student-athletes with a 3.5 or higher GPA for the term
- 111 student-athletes with a 3.8 or higher GPA for the term
- 50 student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA for the term
At the conclusion of the winter quarter, 164 student-athletes had a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
