SAN MATEO, Calif. – Santa Clara University will serve as the host site for the 2021 NCAA Women's College Cup, which is set for Friday, Dec. 3, and Sunday, Dec. 5.
The event was initially scheduled to be contested at PayPal Park, the home of the San Jose Earthquakes of Major League Soccer (MLS), however the facility is no longer available due to a conflict with the updated playoff schedule.
This is the second time in the past three seasons the Women's College Cup will be held in the Bay Area. The Earthquakes were the hosts in 2019.
Santa Clara women's soccer won the 2020 title this past May during the postponed campaign.
"It's an honor for Santa Clara University to host this national event," director of athletics Renee Baumgartner said. Our campus and the local community are passionate about soccer and thrilled to support the NCAA College Cup."
The two semifinals will begin at 4 p.m. Pacific at Stevens Stadium at Buck Shaw Field. The second contest will start shortly after the conclusion of the first. The NCAA Championship match is set for 5 p.m. ESPN will have live coverage of all three matches across its platforms.
