SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara student-athletes closed out the 2021-22 academic year with a strong showing during the spring quarter.
A total of 363 Broncos posted a cumulative GPA of 3.309 for the term, led by a 3.640 mark from women's basketball.
Men's soccer posted the highest mark on the men's side at 3.420, followed by men's tennis at 3.291 and men's cross country/track & field at 3.233. Women's golf (3.541) and women's tennis (3.519) rounded out the top-three for the women.
Each of the 20 sports posted a GPA over 3.0 for the quarter.
The quarter highlights included:
- 278 student-athletes with a 3.0 or higher GPA for the term
- 158 student-athletes with a 3.5 or higher GPA for the term
- 82 student-athletes with a 3.8 or higher GPA for the term
- 37 student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA for the term
At the conclusion of the spring quarter, 155 student-athletes had a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
