Deirdre “Dee” Chatlos is in her fifth year at Santa Clara. She received her Master's in Kinesiology at San Jose State University in 2015. The Validity of the Session Rate of Perceived Exertion Method to Quantify Internal Training Load in Collegiate Male Soccer Players.

Prior to coming to Santa Clara, Chatlos last worked with the Pitt men's basketball team. She also did clinical rotations at Carnegie Mellon University with the men’s and women's soccer teams, with the Pitt women's gymnastics team and at West Mifflin Area High School with the football, soccer and volleyball teams. She also served as a summer athletic training intern in 2012 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Fla, serving as onsite medical coverage for a variety of sports. During her time as an undergraduate in the athletic training program she was awarded the Dr. Freddie Fu Athletic Training Scholarship in April 2013 and the Tim Kerin Memorial Scholarship in October 2012. She was recognized nationally as an undergraduate winner of the DeLoss Brubaker Writing Contest by the NATA Research and Education Foundation.

Chatlos is a native of State College, Penn. and a graduate of University of Pittsburgh.  She received a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training at Pitt as well as a Masters in Kinesiology at San Jose State University. She won the DeLoss Brubaker Undergraduate Writing Contest in June 2013 for a report entitled: Posterior Hip Dislocation of a Collegiate Female Soccer Athlete: A Case Report.
