Bri Kanz is in her first year as assistant athletic director, sports performance. She was hired in January 2022.

Before coming to Santa Clara, Kanz spent four years at Stanford. With the Cardinal, Kanz was solely responsible for women's soccer, women's water polo and artistic swimming. While on the Farm, she acquired three National Championships, one with each team she was responsible for. She also directed all aspects of the Catapult athlete GPS system for the women's soccer team where she would collect, cut & analyze all data from practices and games. Along with managing the Catapult system, she utilized other technological advances such as Force Plate, GroinBar and NordBoard.

Prior to her stint at Stanford, Kanz worked as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Rice University, where she was directly responsible for professional development and implementing the strength and conditioning programs women’s soccer, track & field and women's volleyball.

Kanz earned her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science (2015), graduate degree in Exercise Physiology (2016) and Sports Science (2017) from the University of Akron. In 2015 she worked as a graduate assistant for the strength and conditioning department at Akron, where she was solely responsible for developing and implementing programs for the softball and swim & dive teams. She assisted with men's and women's soccer, men 'sand women's basketball, and volleyball.

Kanz holds certifications with Smart Tools Level 1& 2 Blood Flow Restriction and the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
