Santa Clara Athletics held the official opening of the Stevens Soccer Training Center on June 5, 2015. Funding for the facility came from a $7.7 million gift from Santa Clara University alumna and trustee, Mary Stevens '84, and her husband, Mark, a prominent venture capitalist.
The stylish 7,000-square foot facility features men's and women's locker rooms, separate men's and women's lounges, as well as staff locker rooms. Other amenities include a cutting-edge team and video room, shared treatment center with soak tub, laundry and storage space.
The gift and the new building mark the first steps in a significant recommitment of University resources, time, and talent to create a more nationally prominent athletics program at Santa Clara.
