What is the Bronco Athletic Fund?
Exciting improvements to the Athletic Excellence Fund and Sport-related giving that will make giving to Athletics easier from a donor point of view. The Bronco Athletic Fund consolidates many aspects of fundraising for athletics to increase the efficiency of our fundraising efforts.
What does a donation to the Bronco Athletic Fund go to fund?
Your donation to the Bronco Athletic Fund supports each one of our 20 sports and their operations. Additionally, the Bronco Athletic Fund will support any sports scholarships not covered by existing endowments, solicitations or provided by the university on an annual basis.

Why should I give to the Bronco Athletic Fund?
We need your assistance to push Santa Clara Athletics forward! Supporting the Bronco Athletic Fund will impact Bronco student-athletes in three main areas:
1. Allow coaches to focus on coaching and recruiting, instead of fundraising.
2. Support current needs (i.e., travel, equipment, and recruiting).
3. Expand and upgrade facilities.
The Bronco Athletic Fund’s goal is to provide funding for all 20 of our Division I programs so that they may compete at levels that meet the expectations of the coaches, student-athletes, and donors.
Can I donate specifically towards a specific sport or program?
The new Bronco Athletic Fund was developed so that each individual sport will receive the funds needed to operate at a higher-level without coaches being directly involved in fundraising. To do so, we need all support to go through the Bronco Athletic Fund.
How does the Bronco Bench Foundation relate to this new fund?
The Bronco Bench Foundation will maintain its place as an important part of fundraising at Santa Clara. Bronco Bench Foundation’s support includes the scholarship endowment program along with projects for student-athlete recognition awards (i.e., letterman jackets, rings, Hall of Fame).
Do I receive benefits associated with Men’s Basketball seat-related program if I give to the Bronco Athletic Fund?
YES. In fact, the Bronco Athletic Fund includes the Athletics Excellence Fund for Men’s Basketball seat-related giving benefits. The existing Athletics Excellence Fund seat-related giving system will be included in the larger, enhanced Bronco Athletic Fund benefits system, which will also include additional non-Men’s Basketball related benefits. Am I able to make a Planned Gifts as part of the Bronco Athletic Fund?
Yes, there are a variety of ways to support the Broncos , for example through, bequests, retirement assets, real estate, or life insurance. There are even gifts that can provide you a secure income during your lifetime and leave a legacy to Bronco Athletics.
