SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Santa Clara track & field opens its season Friday at the Husky Classic at Dempsey Indoor Center in Seattle. Five Broncos are set to make the trip for 3000 meter and 5000 meter events.
2016 marks the second straight year that Santa Clara begins the campaign with an indoor event — the Broncos ran at last year's Husky Classic.
"I am really looking forward to our trip to Seattle," head coach Felipe Montoro said. "The Dempsey is one the fastest indoor facilities in the country and the fields for the Husky Classic are outstanding. The five athletes that are running are fit and ready to compete at a high level. It should be lots of fun."
