Santa Clara's women were third at the Doc Adams Invitational on Saturday with 68 points at UC Davis. Meghan McNamara finished in fourth place for the Broncos. The Bronco cross country teams now turn their sites to the NCAA West Region Championship on Sat., Nov. 13 in Eugene, Ore.

"We are very pleased with their efforts as we closed out these runners cross country efforts for 2010. Meghan, Melissa, Moises and Gareth all ran PRs," said Bronco head coach Tom Service.

At the Doc Adams Invite, McNamara led the women's team with her time of 22:19, a big PR. Senior Melissa Conlin finished in 12th place for the Broncos at 22:39, coming in second for SCU and this was her last cross country race as a Bronco. Rounding out the top five were Lauren Germany, who ran 23:01 to finish 14th; Jamie Anderson, who ran 23:33 to finish 17th and Julie Restin, who finished 21st to finish in 24:02.

The men's team did not run in the team race, but its highest finisher was Moises Venegas, who finished 33rd at 25:48. Gareth Mori was 43rd at 26:07. Both were PRs.
