Cross Country Hosts Bronco Invitational Saturday

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Santa Clara cross country hosts its lone home event of the year at the Bronco Invitational Saturday at Baylands Park in Sunnyvale, Calif. The meet features two invitational and two open races, with more than 800 runners and 40 schools set to compete.

Saturday marks the last major meet on the calendar leading up to the 2015 West Coast Conference Championships. The Broncos will have 33 of the team's 41 members in action, including five runners taking to the course unattached.

"We are really pleased to be hosting another edition of the Bronco Invite," head coach Felipe Montoro said. "Conditions look like they will be excellent and the course always runs fast. Our athletes love the opportunity to compete at home and are excited to perform on Saturday. Being able to have so many alumni and parents at the meet is also something we look forward to every year."
