SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Santa Clara cross country will head to the state capitol, Sacramento, for Friday's NCAA West Region Meet at Haggin Oaks Golf Course. The Bronco women begin the day with a 6k at 11 a.m. and the men follow up with a 10k at noon.
The team last competed at the WCC Championships on Oct. 28. The Bronco women took eighth place of 10 teams and the men took seventh place of nine teams. Noelani Obermeyer and Ryan Greenough were the fastest runners in their respective races.
Stanford is the top-ranked team in the region on the men's side while Washington is the top ranked team on the women's side. Both teams are ranked fourth in the NCAA.
