TURLOCK, Calif. — Santa Clara track and field raced well within its indraividual sections and picked up a victory for the second straight week Saturday at the Kim Duyst Invitational. Greer Chrisman posted the fastest time in the 400m hurdles for the second competition in a row as the Broncos raced at Al Brenda Track at Warrior Stadium.

Chrisman took first place in a very close section with a 1:06.19, just edging out Humboldt State's Caitlin McCoy (1:06.26). Santa Clara finished the competition with three section victories overall.

"I was pleased with our overall performances," head coach Felipe Montoro said. "Greer Chrisman continues to look great and I'm excited for her season debut at 800 meters next week."

Emma Eikelberner won her 1500m section and posted the sixth-fastest time (4:45.80) of all competitors. Newcomer Christian Raslowsky, racing for just the second time in a Bronco uniform, placed second in his section and sixth overall in the men's 800m with a 1:58.88. Coming off a strong performance at last weekend's Johnny Mathis Invitational, Julia Green ran the 800, in 2:30.78 to win her section.

"Emma Eikelberner had a really good effort in the 1500 meters," Montoro said. "Christian Raslowsky continues to race into shape; his ceiling is very high and I'm excited for his development."

In addition to the three section wins, Bronco runners finished in the top three of their respective sections across seven events and the top two across six events.

Santa Clara heads south for its next competition — the Oxy Collegiate Invitational next Saturday in Los Angles.
