Jack Davidson highlighted a busy weekend for Santa Clara track and field by posting the fastest 5000m time in program history Friday, April 14 in Murdock Stadium at the Mt. SAC relays. The freshman's 14:23.35 broke Kurt Ruegg's previous best mark (14:26.63 at the 2015 Husky Classic) by more than three seconds.
The Broncos also competed on Saturday, April 15 at Woody Wilson Track as part of the Woody Wilson Classic. McCullough posted personal best marks at 800m (2:23.91) and 1500m (4:51.51), both of which were good for sixth in their respective fields.
Wilder Boyden — competing at 1500m for just the second time in his collegiate career — won his section with a personal best 4:02.49 and posted the third-fastest time in the field overall. Boyden doubled back for an 800m personal best of 2:05.51.
