LOS ANGELES — In its second trek to Occidental for a meet this spring, Santa Clara track and field ran a host of good races Saturday as part of the Oxy Collegiate Invitational. The Broncos came away with three new personal best marks at Bill Henry Track.

"The group produced solid results on competitive efforts," head coach Felipe Montoro said. "It was a successful trip and hopefully we can continue to carry that positive momentum into next week."

Wilder Boyden took nearly eight seconds off of his collegiate-low mark at 5,000 meters with a 15:09.69 and captured third place in his section. Will Burschinger finished a handful of spots behind his teammate with a PR mark of 15:16.28.

Jeffrey Stalun ran a 1,500-meter personal best (3:58.76) for the second time in 2017 and cracked the four-minute mark in that event for the third time in his collegiate career. Joey Berriatua doubled up at 1500 meters and 800 meters; his 1:55.99 at the shorter distance stands as a season-best.

Julia Wood placed fourth in her 1,500-meter section with a 4:49.01.
