Cross Country Announces 2018 Schedule

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — The Santa Clara men's and women's cross country teams have their respective fall campaigns set. Head coach Felipe Montoro announced the team's schedules on Tuesday. The Broncos are slated for nine races in four states from September through November. 

SEPTEMBER

The Broncos head to The City for two of their first three meets; they open the year at the USF Invitational (Sept. 1) and return three weeks later for the San Francisco State Invitational (Sept. 21). The teams hit the road for the BYU Invitational on Sept. 15, which will serve as a preview of the West Coast Conference Championships in late October.

SCU concludes the first month of competition at the Notre Dame-hosted Joe Piane Invitational (men) and the Montana Invitational (women) on Sept. 28, while the rest of the squad stays in the Golden State for the Capital Cross Challenge on Sept. 29.

OCTOBER

The teams take a week off from competition before hosting the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational on Oct. 13 at nearby Baylands Park in Sunnyvale, California. They trek back to Utah for the conference championships on Oct. 27.

NOVEMBER

Santa Clara goes back to the state capital to make its postseason bid at the NCAA West Regional Championships on Nov. 9. The NCAA National Championship meet is on Nov. 17 in Madison, Wisconsin.
