Track & Field Announces 2019 Schedule

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Santa Clara track & field released its 2019 schedule on Friday, announced by head coach Felipe Montoro. The 15-meet schedule spans from January to May.

"We are looking to build off our fall season with a competitive track schedule that gives our student-athletes a lot of opportunities to run fast and compete against some of the best athletes and schools in the country," associate head coach Pete Cushman said.

The Broncos begin the campaign with a pair of indoor meets. The men race in the UW Invitational on Jan. 25 and the women head to the Boise State Bronco Challenge on Feb. 9.

Santa Clara stays in the Golden State for 12 of its 13 outdoor meets, including the season-opening West Coast Invitational (San José) on Feb. 23 and season-ending Oxy Invite (Los Angeles) on May 11. Other highlights includes the team's lone out-of-state competition as the women participate in the Oregon State High Performance (April 26) in addition to the Oxy Distance Carnival (March 9), San Francisco State Distance Carnival (March 29) and Mt. SAC Relays (April 20).

The NCAA West Region Preliminary Championships are May 23-25 in Sacramento, California and the national championship meet is June 5-8 in Austin, Texas.
