SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Santa Clara track & field races at two events this week. Zach Litoff will run in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and Jack Davidson takes to the track at 5,000 meters Thursday at the Payton Jordan Invitational (Stanford, California/Cobb Track and Angell Field). The Broncos send a larger group north for the Portland Twilight (Portland, Oregon/Lewis & Clark College).

Santa Clara continued its record-setting season over the weekend as Brennan Lagerstrom set the program's new top mark at 800 meters for the second time in as many competitions. Lagerstrom clocked a 1:52.55 Saturday at the Brutus Hamilton Challenge for the sixth program record by the men's team in the 2019 campaign.

The women's team competed at one of its toughest events of the season, the Oregon State High Performance on Friday. Janie Nabholz and Emma McCurry led the team at 1,500 meters and 5,000 meters, respectively, while Sarah King captured second place in her 5,000-meter section.

Christian Raslowsky placed second (of 19 runners) at 800 meters and Ellie Kopf took fourth (of 15 runners) at 1,500 meters for the Broncos at Brutus Hamilton.
