As a Senior in 2003: Batted .425 with 14 home runs and 34 RBI in WCC games, winning the league's Triple Crown in conference only play... had only 11 at-bats in the first 12 games in which he appeared for the Broncos this season... since he moved into the leadoff spot on March 1 he has posted a .414 average with 60 of his 64 hits this season coming during that time span... has hit 18 home runs in 2003, the second highest single season total in Bronco Baseball history, just one behind the record that was set by Gene Delyon in 1974... leads the West Coast Conference in batting average, home runs, slugging percentage and on base percentage... had a hitting streak of 21 games from March 24 through April 26... has had 19 multi-hit games in 2003, one of which was a five-hit game at Saint Mary's on March 14... has had 11 multi-RBI games this season, one of which was a five-RBI game against Portland on April 19... eight of his 18 home runs have come as leadoff home runs including an eight-game stretch from March 28 through April 8 that saw him connect on home runs four times to leadoff the game... was named the WCC Player of the Week on April 7 after going 9-for-17 on the week with four home runs, two doubles, seven RBI and eight runs scored, leading the Broncos to a 4-0 record against Saint Mary's and San Francisco... guided the Broncos to a 13-3 record in April after hitting .441 with nine home runs and 19 RBI.

Dierks has connected on 18 home runs in 2003.


As a Junior in 2002: Started 22 of the 38 games in which he appeared during his first year on the Mission Campus... registered solid back-to-back outings against Portland, going a combined 5-for-8 with three RBI's, a double, and his first stolen base of the season... had two RBI's in his only at-bat against Gonzaga on March 24... went 1-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBI against LMU on April 28... finished the year with a .264 average in 87 at-bats... collected five doubles, one triple, 14 runs scored and 16 driven in on the year.

At DeAnza College: Played for two years under head coach Scott Hertler... earned first team All-Coast Conference in 2001 after posting an average of .330 with six home runs, 12 doubles, 42 runs batted in and 10 stolen bases... helped team to a fourth place finish.

High School Information: A 1999 graduate of Leland High school in San Jose... played for coach Scot Gillis... also lettered in football... earned second team All-Conference honors in both baseball and football... was a member of the Rotary International of San Jose.
