Cory Hall Signs Professional Contract With The Kansas City Royals

SANTA CLARA, Calif.- Santa Clara right-handed pitcher Cory Hall, a 2011 All-WCC Honorable Mention honoree, has signed an amateur free agent contract with the Kansas City Royals. He joins J.R. Graham (Atlanta Braves) and Patrick Terry (Chico Outlaws- Indepedent) as members of the 2011 squad to sign professional contracts

During his senior season in 2011, Hall led the Broncos in wins games started complete games innings pitched (105.0) and stirkeouts. He fanned 80 batters during his senior campaign, including a career-high 11 against Brown. Hall pitched two complete games during his senior year including a five-hit gem at Saint Mary's in which he struck out nine batters.

The former Bronco ace has been assigned to the Burlington Royals of the Appalachian Rookie League. The Appalachian League is also home to Hall's former Santa Clara teammate J.R. Graham who plays for the Danville Braves (Atlanta Braves affiliate).

The Saskatchewan native joins Santa Clara alum Alex Rivers '10 as another former Bronco in the Kansas City Royals farm system. Rivers currently plays for the Arizona Royals of the Arizona Rookie League.

Hall recently graduated from Santa Clara's Leavey School of Business with a degree in Marketing.
