SANTA CLARA, Calif. - This week's edition of the Bronco Weekly Sports Wrap previews the beginning of the Spring sports seasons. A number of sports begin practice and then play in the coming weeks. Hosts John Nash and Lauren Matheson also give you an inside look into the latest news from the Mission Campus.
EYEBRONCO reporter and women's basketball sophomore guard, Nici Gilday, talks to her fellow teammate Meagan Fulps about the win over Loyola Marymount. Gilday also addresses keys to the Broncos' game at Pepperdine on Thursday with women's basketball assistant coach Marissa White. The women's basketball squad has won four of their last five games and currently sit at 2-1 in West Coast Conference action. After the Pepperdine game, the Broncos return home to battle San Francisco on Sat., Jan. 19 at 2 p.m.
Nash and Matheson give an inside preview into the beginning of the spring sports. Baseball, softball, men's tennis and women's tennis players share their goals for their upcoming seasons. Student-athletes featured include Mike Couch (baseball), Eugene Muchynski (men's tennis), Jamie Wallis (softball), Katie Le (women's tennis), Zach Looney (baseball) and Tommy Nance (baseball). The first spring sports to begin play are women's tennis and men's tennis who begin Jan. 18 and 19, respectively.

Finally, the BWSW shares Kevin Foster's thoughts on breaking the West Coast Conference's all-time career three-pointers record. Foster's 364th triple passed LMU's Jeff Fryer (1987-90) for the WCC's top spot. The senior from Katy, Texas holds the school's all-time scoring record and became the first Bronco to tally 2,000 career points and just the seventh in WCC history. He currently has 366 career threes, which is tied for No. 25 on the all-time NCAA Division list.
