Meet the Future of Bronco Baseball: Nick Gagliardi

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Continuing to introduce the next wave of talent, Santa Clara baseball introduces Nick Gagliardi of Seattle, Wash. Gagliardi attended Gig Harbor High School where he was coached by Peter Jansen and Larry Carlson.

"I chose Santa Clara because it was a great fit both athletically and academically," said Gagliardi. "From the athletic standpoint Santa Clara offers an amazing coaching staff that works diligently and the players are all very close. Playing at the Division I level was my dream. On the academic side, Santa Clara has great programs. They offer a top-notch engineering school and it gives me a good chance of getting a job after I graduate. The campus is not large and overwhelming and has a nice family atmosphere."

Gagliardi's father Bret played football for the University of Washington. His uncle Jim rowed and played basketball at Boston University and his other uncle Bruce played football and rugby at Dartmouth.

In his free time Gagliardi enjoys fishing, playing basketball, paddle boarding and ping pong.
