Baseball Hosts "Shave for Change" on April 19 vs. San Diego - UPDATED

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – For the second year in a row, Santa Clara baseball will host a "Shave for Change" event in support of Vs. Cancer Foundation and its "Base Bald" program. The even will take place on Fri., April 19 during and after the 6 p.m. game vs. San Diego.

"Our 'Shave for Change' event is awesome," said Santa Clara head coach Dan O'Brien. "I credit our players and staff for really getting behind this great cause and making it the success that it has become. Things have been tough around here, but an event like this provides an important perspective for all of us."

There will be two barbers shaving heads during the game between the Broncos and Toreros with prizes given away to those who participate. After the game, the Santa Clara players will have their heads' shaved.

The Vs. Cancer Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving kids' lives by empowering athletes and communities to fund lifesaving childhood cancer efforts.
