Peter Hendron Joins the Ranks of the Upperclassmen

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Peter Hendron (PH) of the Santa Clara men's baseball team talked with the Santa Clara Broncos (SCB) about the team dynamic, his excitement for the upcoming season with his teammates and what he has learned from playing baseball at Santa Clara.

SCB: What have you been doing to train for your season this year?

PH: I have been throwing, running, lifting, and reading about the mental side of the game.  Overall, relentlessly developing as a baseball player.

SCB: What goals do you have for this upcoming baseball season?

PH: My personal goal for the season is to give my squad a chance to win every time I pitch.  My team goal is to win a WCC Championship and be playing our best baseball in late May/June.

SCB: What are you most excited for this season?

PH: I am most excited about the chemistry of this team.  Already there are awesome vibes and I'm just pumped for us to get better every day and grow as a group.  It is fun seeing this team and program improve every year.

SCB: What are you looking forward to accomplishing in your junior year?

PH: I am looking forward to playing my first season here as an upperclassman and becoming a more experienced baseball player. I am also looking forward to watching this team become a well-oiled machine that can beat anyone on any given day.

SCB: What has playing baseball at Santa Clara taught you?

PH: That is hard to put into one answer, but mainly playing baseball at Santa Clara has taught me a new level of discipline and organization. It has also forced me to push myself to higher limits in everything I do, mentally and physically.

Go Broncos!
