REDSHIRT SENIOR (2017): Appeared in 18 games for SCU with 15 starts and five complete games ... went 4-7 overall with a save and posted an ERA of 4.56 in 102.2 innings pitched ... struckout 101 batters and walked 20 ... the team's top starter, finished third in the WCC and tied for 33rd in the nation with 101 strikeouts. He ranked fourth in the WCC in strikeout-to-walk ratio at 5.05-to-1 ... threw his first-career complete game against Northwestern (March 3) and tied a career high in strikeouts with 11 ... threw another complete game at Portland (April 1), also striking out 11 batters ... earned his third complete-game victory of the season at Pepperdine (April 30), striking out seven batters and allowing two earned runs ... In his final start at Stephen Schott Stadium against Pacific (May 13), Steffens earned his fourth complete-game victory, allowing just two earned runs while striking out nine batters ... threw a complete game against St. Mary's (May 20) but allowed a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning. He struck out eight batters and allowed just three earned runs.

SENIOR (2016): Made 13 appearacnes, all in relief ... went 1-1 with a 5.40 ERA, 15 strikeouts and seven walks in 21.2 innings … opponents hit .312 against Steffens ... pitched and inning and struck out a batter in his season debut vs. San José State March 30 ... tossed a shutout inning and struck out one batter vs. Saint Mary's April 2 ... pitched a pair of shutout innings with two strikeouts and allowed only two hits vs. Pepperdine April 10 (Game 1 of a doubleheader) ... pitched 3.0 innings and allowed an earned run on three hits with a walk and two strikeouts to earn the win vs. Stanford April 26 ... his victory over the Cardinal marked the first for Steffens in 423 days, going back to a Feb. 27, 2015 win over Eastern Michigan.

JUNIOR (2015): Made four appearances, all as a starter ... went 2-2 with a 3.51 ERA and 29 strikeouts against just four walks in 25.2 innings ... had season-ending Tommy John surgery … opponents hit .267 against Steffens ... had season-ending Tommy John surgery ... allowed four earned runs on eight hits in 5.0 innings pitched with four strikeouts at defending national champion and unanimous preseason No. 1 Vanderbilt in the season opener Feb. 13 … recorded a career-high 11 strikeouts in 7.0 innings allowing only two earned runs and no walks in his first win of the 2015 season vs. Cincinnati Feb. 20 … started, pitched 7.2 innings, and improved his record to 2-1 with eight strikeouts and only one earned run vs. Eastern Michigan Feb. 27 … gave up three runs on five hits with six strikeouts in six innings of work at Kansas State March 6.

SOPHOMORE (2014): 2014 All-West Coast Conference Honorable Mention ... split time as a starter and a relief pitcher, beginning the season in the four-man starting rotation and returning to the weekend rotation in late April … went 2-5 with a 3.90 ERA between 16 appearances and nine starts … posted better than a 3:1 strikeout-to-walk ratio with 43 strikeouts and 13 walks in 64.2 innings … opponents hit .292 against Steffens ... made the start, threw 7.0 innings and allowed three runs (one earned) on eight hits with one walk and one strikeout Feb. 16 vs. Nevada ... started and threw 5.0 innings, allowing five runs (four earned) on nine hits with two walks and no strikeouts Feb. 23 vs. Notre Dame ... started and threw 4.0 innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits with no walks and three strikeouts March 4 at Cal Poly ... allowed four runs (two earned) on five hits with no walks and one strikeout in 3.2 innings March 9 vs. Washington … struck out three in 3.1 innings while allowing one earned run on two hits in his first relief appearance of the season March 13 vs. Penn State … gave up two unearned runs with three strikeouts in 2.2 relief innings March 30 at Pacific … allowed one hit and struck out two in 2.0 innings April 11 at Gonzaga … retired all eight batters he faced with two strikeouts in 3.0 shutout innings April 19 at San Diego … made his fifth start of the season and struck out three in 5.1 innings April 27 vs. LMU … tied a career-best 7.0 innings pitched and struck out a career-high nine batters (breaking his previous high mark of three Ks) while allowing no runs on four hits May 4 at San Francisco … earned WCC Rawlings Pitcher of the Week honors on May 5 for his performance against the Dons ... pitched a career-high 8.0 innings and allowed one earned run on five hits with one walk and five strikeouts to pick up his second consecutive victory May 10 at BYU … struck out five in 6.1 innings, allowing six runs (five earned) on nine hits with no walks as part of the seventh straight Bronco win with Steffens on the mound May 18 vs. Saint Mary’s … started, pitched 5.0+ innings and allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits with three walks and four strikeouts May 23 vs. Gonzaga at the WCC Baseball Championship.

FRESHMAN (2013): Made 12 appearacnes and three starts ... went 0-3 with a 9.86 ERA, six strikeouts and six walks in 21.0 innings … opponents hit .370 against Steffens ... threw 2.0 innings and struck out one against Cal on Mar. 12 ... pitched 2.1 shutout innings with a strikeout on March 23 at Pepperdine ... fanned one in 0.2 innings vs. San Diego on April 21 ... struck out 1 in 2.0 innings April 26 at Saint Mary's ... threw 0.2 inning with one strikeout on May 17 at LMU.
