SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara baseball program regrets to inform you that due to potential wind issues combined with new city ordinances regarding the usage of tents for outdoor events, the On The Diamond Dinner & Auction fundraiser originally scheduled for early November is being moved to a new venue with a later date.
The details are not set but the plan is to generate excitement for the new season by hosting the annual Bronco Baseball fundraiser combined with an annual alumni game a week or two before the opening of the 2017 season. Donations are still being accepted and the form can be found here.
"This is an unfortunate set back considering the recent announcement of the event," head coach Dan O'Brien said. "However, we think the events will be even better considering our leads for both dates and venues. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility and we look forward to seeing you in the new year."
