SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara baseball had three student-athletes recognized by West Coast Conference on Tuesday as the league announced the 2017 season awards and the All-WCC teams. Junior first baseman Jake Brodt was named to the 2017 All-WCC First Team while sophomore John Cresto earned honorable mention recognition. Center fielder Andre Nnebe was named to the All-WCC Freshman Team. The teams and season awards were voted on solely by the league's 10 head coaches.

At the plate, he had the top batting average on the team at .338 and the most hits with 73. He was also named Rawlings WCC Player of the Week (May 1) for his part in helping SCU sweep Pepperdine. This is his first-career postseason honor from the WCC.
