Meet the Future of Bronco Baseball – Blake Faddoul
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara baseball announced the eighth member of its incoming recruiting class for the 2018-19 season, Blake Faddoul.  The middle infielder currently attends Yorba Linda High School in Yorba Linda, California where he was a team captain his junior season and  was named captain for the upcoming senior season.

"I chose Santa Clara for a few reasons.  I really like the beautiful campus and surrounding communities.  It feels like home to me.  The top-notch education offered at Santa Clara is also important to my parents and I.  Finally, I liked the feeling I got when I walked into the baseball stadium.  The baseball facility is first class and it feels like a winning environment," said Faddoul.

Faddoul carries a 4.0 GPA, earning the Yorba Linda High Mustang Academic Achievement award throughout his high school career.  He looks to follow in the footsteps of his father, Mike, a Certified Public Accountant, by studying accounting at Santa Clara.

"Blake is a middle infielder from Southern California who is a really good student.  He's very athletic and can play multiple positions but we see him in the middle of the field. We're excited to have him come on board," said Broncos head coach Rusty Filter.

Faddoul was twice named Rawlings-Perfect Game Preseason Underclassmen All-American Honorable Mention in 2016 and 2017.

Our next future Bronco, Ethan Heinrich, will be announced later in the week.
