Meet the Future of Bronco Baseball – Keegan McCarville
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara baseball announced the tenth member of its incoming recruiting class for the 2018-19 season, Keegan McCarville.  The right-handed pitcher currently attends South Mountain Community College in Phoenix, Arizona.

"I chose Santa Clara University because I have trust in head coach Rusty Filter. I believe I can go to the next level from Santa Clara and it is a great opportunity to have. It is also in California with beautiful weather and a Santa Clara degree will go a long way," said McCarville.

In his first season at South Mountain CC this past spring, McCarville appeared in 16 games, starting in eight.  The Phoenix native logged 66.1 innings, striking out 58 while allowing 50 hits and issuing just nine walks.

"Keegan has strong leadership qualities and competitiveness. We're looking forward to his leadership qualities in helping us move forward with the program.  He should be a starting pitcher for us here with his low 90s fastball and a really good slider," said Broncos head coach Rusty Filter.

Our next future Bronco, Alex Reelfs, will be announced the week of December 18.
