Meet the Future of Bronco Baseball – Alex Tisminezky
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara baseball announced the 14th member of its incoming recruiting class for the 2018-19 season, Alex Tisminezky.  The right-handed pitcher currently attends the College of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas.
"I chose to attend and play baseball at Santa Clara University because of the excellent baseball program and the outstanding reputation the coaching staff has. The university itself is one of the best academic schools in the country and has a top-ranked business program, which I hope to be a part of. The university is located in a beautiful and appealing Northern California area and I can't wait for this new chapter in my life to begin," said Tisminezky.
Tisminezky, who captained the Bishop Gorman High (Las Vegas) team in 2016, appeared in 20 games for College of Southern Nevada last spring.  The six-foot hurler struck out 35 batters in 31.2 innings while holding the opponents to a .223 batting average.
"I see Alex pitching a lot for us in different roles.  He is a player that can come out of the bullpen and matchup because he has good command of the breaking ball but you can also extend him in a starting role.  I'm excited to have him," said Broncos head coach Rusty Filter.
Our next future Bronco, Julian Tristan, will be announced later in the week.
