Meet the Future of Bronco Baseball – Ryan Jeffries
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara baseball announced the 18th member of its incoming recruiting class for the 2018-19 season, Ryan Jeffries.  The first baseman/outfielder currently attends Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, California.

"I chose Santa Clara because of the great academics and the instant connection I had with the coaching staff. It's very exciting to me to be a part of this new era of Santa Clara baseball with Coach Filter. Staying in California for college is something I wanted to do and I could really picture myself attending Santa Clara when walking around the campus and seeing the athletic facilities," said Jeffries.

Jeffries, who batted .293 and had a .414 on-base percentage his junior season was named 2017 Rawlings-Perfect Game Preseason Underclassmen All-American High Honorable Mention.

"Ryan is a left-handed hitter that's very athletic.  He's really coming into his own right now as a player and we're extremely excited to have him join the program," said Broncos head coach Rusty Filter.

Our next future Bronco, Gavin Maloney, will be announced on January 18.
