SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara baseball unveiled its 2019 schedule featuring games against three teams that qualified for the 2018 NCAA Tournament.  Broncos head coach Rusty Filter made the announcement.  
 
Twenty-nine of the 53 regular-season games will be played in the friendly confines of Stephen Schott Stadium including against three 2018 NCAA Tournament qualifiers Washington (April 15), Gonzaga (April 18-20) and Stanford (April 30).  
 
The Broncos open the 2019 campaign with three consecutive four game series, starting with the season opener on the road against crosstown rival San José State on Feb. 15.  That is followed by a doubleheader on Feb. 16 in the Broncos home opener before closing out the series on Feb. 17 back at San José State.  
 
Santa Clara welcomes Washington State, one of three Pac-12 conference teams it faces, to Schott Stadium on Feb. 21-24 before playing 11 of the next 14 games on the road - at CSU Bakersfield (March 1-3) including a doubleheader on the 2nd; at UC Davis (March 5); at LMU (March 15-17) in the West Coast Conference opener; and CSUN (March 22-24).  The lone home games during that stretch is a series against Nebraska Omaha (March 8-10) in what will be the first matchup between the two schools.  
 
The Broncos play the backend of the home-and-home series against UC Davis at home (March 25) before getting into the main portion of the conference slate.  
 
Five WCC series will be played at Schott Stadium - San Francisco (March 29-31), Pacific (April 12-14), Gonzaga (April 18-20), San Diego (May 3-5) and BYU (May 16-18) in the regular-season finale.  And the four WCC series on the road include LMU, Pepperdine (April 5-7), Portland (April 26-28) and Saint Mary's (May 10-12).  
 
Midweek games include three home-and-home series against UC Davis, Cal Poly (away on April 2, home on April 23) and Stanford (home on April 30, away on May 7) along with one game each against Sacramento State (April 9) and Washington at home.  
 
The 2019 WCC Conference Championships will be played once again at Banner Island Ballpark in Stockton, California, from May 23-25 with the top-four teams from the conference standings.  The winner of the conference tournament will earn an automatic berth to the NCAA Division I Regionals.
 
This November, Santa Clara will play two fall games on the road, at Sacramento State on Nov. 3 and at Fresno State on Nov. 11.
