Saturday is Take A Kid Night for Bronco Hoops

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara Basketball invites all young fans to come out to the Leavey Center to experience a college basketball game when the Broncos host the NCAA men's basketball "Take A Kid to the Game" night Saturday against San Diego.

For Saturday's game, kids, ages 14 and under, will receive free admission with the purchase of a full-priced, general admission adult ticket to watch Santa Clara take on the Toreros of the University of San Diego. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

TAKG is being promoted at more than 500 men's and women's collegiate basketball games across the country during the 2000-01 season. The NCAA men's basketball Take a Kid to the Game program is entering its third year.

"Santa Clara University is excited to be able to take part in the NCAA basketball Take a Kid to the Game program," said George Husack, Manager of SCU Athletics Marketing and Promotions. "The Broncos want all young basketball fans to experience what it is like to participate in college athletics and the rewards of playing."
