Santa Clara University to Host 2002 NCAA Men's Basketball West Regional

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Applications to be included in a random drawing for tickets to the 2002 NCAA Men's Basketball West Regional to be held March 21 and 23 at the San Jose Arena, will be made available to the general public on March 15. Santa Clara University will serve as the host institution for the event, which determines the West Regional representative to the NCAA Final Four.

    Applications will be made available for a limited number of tickets via the official athletic website for Santa Clara University Athletics at www.SantaClaraBroncos.com, in person at the Santa Clara Athletic Ticket Office and the San Jose Arena box office or by calling 408/287-9200. Applications will be accepted beginning March 20 with a limit of four tickets per order. Applications must be received by the San Jose Arena Ticket Office no later than April 28.

    A random selection process will take place in May for the limited number of tickets that will be available to the general public. By June 1 applicants will be notified whether they were successful in the random selection process. Refunds will be mailed to unsuccessful applicants no later than June 1. Tickets will be mailed prior to January 31, 2002.

    Individual game tickets will not be sold unless seats remain available on the day of the game. All-Session tickets are priced at $110 each and include three total games. The winner of the West Regional advances to the NCAA Final Four to be held March 30 and April 1 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Ga.
