SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) - Dana White had 12 points and five rebounds as San Diego defeated the Santa Clara 58-55, snapping the Broncos two-game winning streak Saturday night.

The Toreros (12-9, 4-4) capitalized on a 19-8 run late in the game to clinch the victory. Nick Greene and Tyler Field added 10 points each for San Diego as the Toreros avenged their three-point loss to the Broncos on Wednesday night. The win breaks San Diego's two-game losing streak.

Brian Jones led all scorers with 18 points for the Broncos (13-10, 5-3). Jaime Holmes added 14 points on 7-of-14 shooting and eight rebounds for Santa Clara.

Justin Holbrooke sank a three-pointer with 2:52 remaining in the first period to give the Broncos a 28-23 lead in the first half. After Cameron Rigby of San Diego made a 3-pointer to bring it to 28-26, the Broncos' Jones sank a free throw to increase the Broncos lead to 29-26 when the first half ended.

Andre Laws led all scorers with seven points to pace the Toreros while Jaime Holmes, Brian Vaka and Jones had to six points each to lead the Broncos in the first half.

Both teams went a through a four-minute scoreless spell early in the game.
