"We are happy with the win. Hopefully our shooting will improve. But if it doesn't and we continue to win... That's the important thing. I thought we played decent defense. In the second half, I thought we were a little better organized and did a pretty nice job. Offensively, some of our shots didn't go in. But, we made enough free throws to give ourselves a chance to win. I am happy with the end result. We managed to win the game. Our success is directly related to how Brian (Jones) does. He knows that. He knows he needs to organize the team in the clutch and do a lot of things for us. Our guys didn't get too rattled and didn't try to shoot poor shots or get into to big of a hurry. We were able to milk some time off the clock at times."

"I've been telling the guys that if we can get to a high level defensively, we can shut people down. That's the sign of a good team, when you aren't shooting well you can still come out with wins like this. Offensively, we weren't able to get into a groove but we made enough shots to keep them at bay. Our defense and our rebounding are the things we concentrated on this week and I think we did a solid job in those areas. I think USF is a dangerous team. On any given night, they can come out and they can run the table. They have good athletes, big guys and good shooters. In the (WCC) Tournament, if we face each other, I think the game will be similar to this one. The game would be a dogfight. We are going to have to come out hard and see what happens. I don't mind playing anybody. I just want to be there on championship night."
