SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) - Jamie Holmes scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as Santa Clara defeated Portland 77-65 on Saturday in the regular season finale for both teams.

Brian Jones and David Emslie also recorded double-doubles for the Broncos (10-4, 18-11), who finished in third place in the West Coast Conference. Jones had 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Emslie matched his career-high with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Ryan Jones scored 28 points to lead Portland (4-10, 11-16), which finished seventh. Tim Frost added 10 points and 11 rebounds.

After Santa Clara tied the game with the first basket of the second half, the Pilots scored the next 10 points, seven by Jones, to take a 47-37 lead with 16:44 left to play. Jones, a junior guard, went over the 1,000-point mark for his career.

Santa Clara rallied over the next nine minutes and took a 57-55 lead when Brian Vaka made a steal on the defensive end, then went for a slam. That was part of a 17-2 run that eventually gave the Broncos a 66-57 edge with 3:35 remaining. Holmes scored 10 points in that stretch.

The game was delayed with 12:56 remaining to play in the first half when Santa Clara senior center Stephen Dely, who was on the bench, had to be carried off in a stretcher when he began suffering from an asthma attack.

Senior guard Dustin Warford made his first career start for the Broncos. He's appeared in 37 games in four years.

Diaby Kamara hit a jumper with less than two seconds left to give Portland a 37-35 halftime lead. Kamara had 10 of his 12 rebounds in the half.
