TORONTO, Canada - Former Santa Clara men's basketball star Steve Nash has decided to change the number on his Dallas Mavericks uniform from 13 to 7.
As you may recall, Nash wears number 7 when he is playing with the Canadian national men's team.
"I'm changing my number to 7 this week in honour of my teammates and all of the overwhelming support I received from Canadians everywhere," said Nash.
In the photo, Steve lifts up his Maverick warmup to show off his number 7.
The new number was debuted at the Air Canada Centre on Wednesday, October 18 at the Dallas Mavericks/Toronto Raptors pre-season game.
