SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- The Santa Clara men's basketball team returns to action for its final two non-conference games of the season this week against Murray State on Tuesday and Idaho State on Friday. Both games are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. tipoff in the new Leavey Center on the Santa Clara University campus.

Tuesday's contest against Murray State is the second game of a double-header with the Bronco women's basketball team. The Santa Clara women, fresh off Saturday's 61-56 upset of 10th-ranked Texas Tech, will take-on Columbia beginning at 5 p.m. All fans attending either game can receive a free general admission ticket with the purchase of a ticket. Boy Scouts attending Friday's Idaho State contest will receive free admission with their troop uniform.

The Broncos are 6-7 on the season following a 78-63 loss to second-ranked Stanford in Saturday's championship game of the 34th annual Cable Car Classic. Santa Clara defeated George Mason 78-76 in double overtime on Friday to advance to Saturday's title game.

Seniors Jamie Holmes and Brian Jones were named to the event's all-tournament team, along with Stanford's Casey Jacobsen, Michael McDonald and Jarron Collins. Collins was named the Cable Car Classic Most Valuable Player. George Mason's Tremaine Price was given the Dick O'Connor Most Inspirational Player Award.

Murray State is 5-5 on the season following Saturday's 79-71 win at Nebraska. The Racers have played three-straight road games and begin Ohio Valley Conference league games on Jan. 6 against Tennessee-Martin.

Idaho State is 4-6 on the season following its 67-63 overtime loss to Southern Utah on Saturday. The Bengals are coached by San Jose State grad and former Stanford assistant coach Doug Oliver. ISU won last year's contest between the two schools by a 72-57 score in Pocatello, Idaho.
