SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) - Kyle Bailey scored 14 points as Santa Clara handed Portland their fifth straight loss, 75-58 in a WCC game Saturday night.

The Pilots suffered their 15th loss in their last 16 games as the Broncos (10-13, 5-5) used their height to out-muscle Portland 52-35. Bronco center David Emslie led the Broncos with nine.

The lone bright spot for Portland (5-19, 1-9) was Casey Frandsen, who led all scorers with 21 points.

Santa Clara's Justin Holbrook added 13 points as the Broncos dominated all aspects of the game.

Santa Clara set the tone when it opened with a 11-4 run and led 36-29 at the half.

Twice in the first half, Portland closed to within five points but couldn't keep pace with the Broncos.

The Pilots shot only 33 percent in the first half, which saw only three Portland players score.
