MALIBU, Calif. (AP) - Devin Montgomery scored 26 points and hit all six of his 3-point attempts as Pepperdine defeated Santa Clara 96-58 Saturday night.

Pepperdine (20-7, 13-1 West Coast), which connected on a school-record 17 3-pointers, never trailed in the game and won a share of the regular season West Coast Conference title with Gonzaga.

A coin flip will decide the top seed at next week's WCC Tournament in San Diego.

Pepperdine, which had five players score in double digits, outscored the Broncos 49-25 in the second half to put the game away and notch their third straight 20-win season.

Jimmy Miggins scored 16 points while Terrance Johnson and Boomer Brazzle added 14 points apiece to give the Waves their 15th win in their last 16 contests.

Steve Ross had 11 points and Jason Westphal added 7 for Santa Clara (14-12, 6-7), which had 12 players score in the game.

Pepperdine took control of the game early, connecting on ten first-half 3-pointers to lead by as many as 21 points. Santa Clara rallied back, going on a 12-0 run to cut the lead to 39-31 with 3:27 remaining.

That would be as close as the Broncos would get as the Waves countered with an 8-2 run to go into halftime with 47-33 lead.
