Men's Hoops Plays Final Exhibition Monday

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara men's basketball team will play its second exhibition game of the season Monday night when it takes on Korabel, a club team from Ukraine. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Leavey Center on the Santa Clara University campus.

Admission is free for the event, which will serve as the final tune-up of the exhibition season prior to the Broncos' regular-season opener Saturday against Pacific. Santa Clara's game against the Tigers is also scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Leavey Center. Tickets are available by calling the athletic ticket office at 408/554-4660 or online by clicking here.

Santa Clara opened its exhibition season with an 81-73 overtime win over the Olympic Club Tuesday at the Compaq Center at San Jose. Sophomore Kyle Bailey led all scorers with 23 points and added a game-high 11 rebounds. A sophomore from Fairbanks, Alaska, Bailey scored 19 of his 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds in the second half and overtime periods, including scoring eight of the team's 12 overtime points. Seniors Jason Westphal and Justin Holbrook added nine points each, while Jason Morrissette and freshman Scott Borchart added eight apiece.
