DAYTON, Ohio (AP) - Vernard Hollins and Jesse Deister scored 21 points apiece to lead Wright State past Santa Clara 76-62 Saturday.
Seth Doliboa had 18 points and seven rebounds for the Raiders and scored a layup with 12:55 left that gave Wright State (6-3) the lead for good at 42-40.
Diester was 4-of-7 in 3-point attempts and was 7-of-15 overall. Hollins was 9-of-16 overall and hit a basket that gave the Raiders a 26-12 lead, their largest lead in the first half.
Santa Clara (1-6) went on a 12-2 run behind Justin Holbrook's five points to pull to within 28-24 at the half and then tied the game at 40 on a basket by Jordan Legge before Wright State pulled away.
Wright State hit 10-of-19 3-point attempts to 6-of-22 for the Broncos.
Holbrook led Santa Clara with 10 points and had a game-high 10 rebounds. Bakari Altheimer and Kyle Bailey had nine points apiece for Santa Clara.
