SAN DIEGO (AP) - Brandon Rohe scored 14 of his game-high 20 points in the second half, leading Santa Clara to a 67-65 win over San Diego Saturday night.

Rohe, who hit just 2-of-7 shots in the first half, made all five field-goal attempts, including a pair of 3-pointers, in the final 20 minutes as the Broncos won in the West Coast Conference opener for both teams.

Santa Clara (10-4, 1-0) shot markedly better in the second half as it overcame a 29-25 halftime deficit by hitting 57.1 percent of its shots. The Broncos were 8-for-31 in the first half (25.8 percent).

Rohe hit a jumper at the 5:51 mark to put the Broncos ahead for good, 60-58. San Diego (6-8, 0-1) kept it close, but missed several chances in the final seconds to win or tie the game.

Jason Keep scored 16 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and had five assists off the bench to lead San Diego, which lost its fifth straight game. Matt Delzell added 15 points for the Toreros.
