SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) - Nate Robinson scored 19 points Saturday as the Washington Huskies beat the Santa Clara Broncos 72-55.

The Huskies (2-3) have now won two straight for new head coach Lorenzo Romar after starting the season with a three-game losing streak.

Robinson scored 17 of his 19 in the second half as the Broncos (3-3) made just 4-for-33 from the floor.

Doug Wrenn added 17 points for Washington and led the team with eight rebounds.

Besides Robinson and Wrenn, Will Conroy and Curtis Allen each added 11 points as the Huskies had four players post double-figures in scoring.

The lone bright spot for Santa Clara was Cord Anderson, who led all players with a career high 21 points and 10 rebounds.

The Huskies led at halftime 32-30 although shooting just 11-for-31 from the floor.

The Broncos took an early lead on in the first half but saw it erased at 8:27 when the Huskies' Robinson tapped in a three-footer to make it 14-14.

Santa Clara trailed for the remainder of the half and Washington's Allen and Wrenn combined for 20 points to help keep the Huskies on top.
